Ilyasi Mosque, Abottabad, is one of the magnificent monuments of Pakistan. Built-in 1932 it is still alluring to the visitors with its unique architectural features and bewitching view.
There was a natural spring that fed the indoor pool but has now gone dry. Most of the visitors miss the presence of the pool.
Set against the backdrop of Abbottabad’s rich green valley, the ivory white structure of the Mosque creates a magical scenic view.
The Quranic verses carved on the walls and inside the aches carry the visitors to realms of Islamic art and architecture.
Standing over 1,250 meters above sea level, the mosque attracts visitors all over the year.
